Terms of Use

Using LishDish

You must be at least 16 years old if you live in Australia, at least 18 if you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, and at least 13 anywhere else. You must also be able to enter into these terms. Keep your login details secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Community contributions

Only upload content you have the right to share. Contributions must be honest, relevant, and respectful. Do not post unlawful, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or privacy-invasive material, or content that infringes another person's rights.

Your content

You keep ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant Pair Us Pty Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display your content as needed to provide, support, and secure LishDish. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant the licences in these terms, and you will not be paid for your content or its use.

Public content is content you make visible to others on LishDish, such as ratings, reviews, and photos from public meals, your profile, and venue details you contribute. For public content, the licence is also perpetual and transferable, we may sublicense it, and it covers adapting, modifying, translating, publishing, distributing, analysing, and creating derivative works from it, in any media, to operate, promote, and improve LishDish and for our other business purposes.

This includes licensing your public ratings, reviews, and photos to other businesses, and using them, or allowing others to use them, to train, fine-tune, test, and improve artificial intelligence and machine learning models.

Content from private meals and private photos is treated differently. We use it only to store it, show it to you and anyone you share it with, moderate it to keep LishDish safe, and provide backups and support. We never publish or promote it, license it to other businesses, or use it to train artificial intelligence models. Our service providers handle it only to help us do those things.

To the extent the law allows, you consent to us and anyone we license your content to using it without naming you as its author, and editing, cropping, or adapting it, even where that might otherwise infringe your moral rights.

If you delete content or your account, we will stop using that content. If you make a meal private, we will stop using its content as public content. Either way, we will stop including it in new licences within a reasonable time. Copies already provided to others, and models already trained on it, may continue to exist, and we may keep copies for legal, security, and backup purposes.

Moderation

We may review, edit, reject, restrict, or remove content and may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or create risk for the community. We are not required to publish every contribution.

Venues and recommendations

Ratings, venue information, prices, opening details, and recommendations may be incomplete or change over time. LishDish does not endorse or guarantee any venue, dish, allergen information, or user contribution. Confirm important details directly with the venue.

Premium

Premium is an optional membership. You can subscribe, or earn a month of Premium by reviewing actively: currently, by posting at least 10 reviews in the past month, at 3 or more different venues, that we approve. Earned Premium lasts one month from when we grant it, which is when we next check your activity after you qualify. Members we invite as Founding Foodies get Premium for life once they reach 50 approved reviews at 10 or more different venues. Premium features may change over time, and we will tell you before a change that takes away a feature you pay for.

Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are bought through the App Store and charged to your Apple Account. The price, billing period, and any free trial are shown before you confirm.

A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and renewal is charged within the 24 hours before that. If you start a free trial, you will be charged when it ends unless you turn off auto-renew first.

Manage or end your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app or your LishDish account does not end it. Once you turn off auto-renew, Premium continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

Service availability

We aim to keep LishDish useful and available, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change, pause, or end. To the extent permitted by law, Pair Us Pty Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service.

Changes and termination

You may stop using LishDish at any time. We may update these terms as the service evolves. The latest version and its effective date will be available here. Where the law requires notice or consent, we will provide it. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them.

Your rights and governing law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that cannot be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you may bring a claim in the courts where you live.
